Swathers are used because some crops do not mature evenly and it also prevents loss of crop. The swather cuts the crop and places into a swath for the combine.

A combine has the ability to cut, thresh and separate the grain from the straw all in one opera-tion. Here the combine is straight cutting feed barley.

The combine unloads the grain into the grain cart. A grain cart is used when the field is soft or when the grain truck is not accessible.
