Welcome to The UFA Cattle Trail – an interactive program to introduce you to the beef cattle industry. This all-encompassing presentation brings together all the value added components of beef production to tell the story of pasture to the final product.

The UFA Cattle Trail, located in the Nutrien Western Event Centre, is a live animal display of beef cattle, enhanced by informative and engaging displays about the industry and beef production program during the 10 days of the Calgary Stampede. In collaboration with our industry experts, we take visitors on an exciting journey through the product lifecycle of beef, exploring everything from the science of beef cattle breeding to understanding the different cuts of beef they see on their dinner table.

The UFA Cattle Trail encompasses each sector of the beef story, specifically focusing on these 5 key messages:

PEOPLE & COMMUNITY- “We are an integral part of our community, creating a quarter million jobs while helping to feed Canada and the world.”

FOOD- “We produce wholesome, nutrient-rich beef that contributes to a healthy diet. “

NATURAL RESOURCES- "We love and respect the land. We take great pride in caring for the Canadian landscape.”

ANIMAL HEALTH & WELFARE- “We are dedicated to raising cattle with care and respect, under world-leading standards.”

EFFICIENCY & INNOVATION- “We continually reduce the resources required to produce the great tasting, high quality beef we are known for world wide.”

With 39% of the Canadian beef herd here in Alberta, The UFA Cattle Trail will share the significant value and impact the beef industry has on personal wellbeing, economic wellbeing of the province and provide an inside look at this rather complex and very important industry. The UFA Cattle Trail is great chance for you to ask producers and industry experts any questions you may have about Alberta Beef!

Come join us for a look into the fascinating world of beef development - it is a fun and informative experience to remember as part of your visit to the Calgary Stampede.
